Europe's west coast

The coastline is 1793km and it’s warmer and less wet in the South.

The Portuguese have a strong seafaring history. They were the first to discover Madeira, the Azores and the Cape of Good Hope which they named (Cabo de boa Esperanca), and so much more, but hey, why should you choose Portugal for your sailing holiday?

In the Summer once the Azores high gets established the days are hot and sunny, but the coast is kept cool by the Portuguese trade winds (Nortada) which gives a strong blow each afternoon.

The food and wine are good quality and inexpensive. Plus, there are so many places to explore for yourself.
