For many years our clients have experienced what we called ‘assisted bareboat’. We provide a comprehensive area briefing in addition to the boat briefing and we are the end of a phone 24/7 if needed. It was the best combination of flotilla and bareboat we could provide. Following our move to Adakoy last year and a pilot cruise, we can now offer a comprehensive service to flotilla too.
Flotilla Plus is perhaps best defined as a cruise in company. We still have a lead crew, but their role is quite different. We don’t treat you like sheep, there is no regimented structure of visiting company defined bays or being left to discover it yourself of bareboat. Now you can enjoy the best of both with other like minded adventurers.
Like normal, Flotilla Plus has a professional lead crew there to help you any way they can, even if it’s just being sober and coherent at the morning briefing!
Flotilla Plus runs for two consecutive weeks, but you can join for both or just one (except June Explorers, two weeks only). Normally the improvers flotilla will run on the first of each two week trip.
Flotilla Plus is ‘adult only’ designed for those 25 years and up. These are ‘no children’ flotillas. One crew member must hold a recognised practical sailing qualification.

How is Flotilla Plus different?
Each Flotilla Plus has a theme to make it more fun and interesting for you. Themes include ‘improver’, ideal for those looking to improve their skills or confidence on the move up to bareboat or just wishing to brush up their skills as occasional sailors. A daily theory and practice masterclass to hone skills like Med mooring or complicated boat handling techniques.
Although each Flotilla Plus has a theme, much of the activity is decided by the group. The group can decide on each days destination with expertise from the experienced lead crew if needed.
Flotilla Plus Themes
Themes:
Improver – Short practical and theory sessions each morning on any sailing topic, including passage planning, boat handling, Med mooring techniques, anchoring, rope-work and team-working.
Foodie – Aside from visiting the best food stops, we arrange for crew members to watch and assist the cooks in the bay restaurants making the spectacular dishes of the Turkish cuisine. It could be making Mezes (cold starters) to breadmaking in a traditional outdoor bread oven.
Culture & History: Our local expert accompanies the flotilla. There will be daily talks about historical and cultural sites and visits to places of interest throughout the flotilla, most only accessible by boat.
Explorer: Another word for relaxation! Ever wanted to leave a little later and explore ashore, go for a longer morning walk or just relax with the scenery.
Consequently the sailing distances each day may be a little shorter which is easy to do in this cruising area. The flotilla will leave each morning a little later so you can do whatever you want. Those that want to leave earlier of course can.
The June flotilla is a dedicated two week holiday, offering a relaxed pace whilst visiting places far and wide.

By it’s very nature Flotilla Plus has a very flexible approach to routes and itinerary, there is so much to choose from and destination choices are driven by the group. Whilst we try specifically to visit bays off the beaten track, there is a basic route framework which is as follows:
All routes start and finish in Marmaris Bay. The June flotilla will be out for two weeks and visit a number of Greek islands.
Marmaris – Fethiye – Marmaris:
Marmaris – Knidos – Marmaris
Marmaris – Orhaniye – Marmaris
Marmaris – Greece – Marmaris (two weeks)
Routes & typical itinerary
From Marmaris via Ciftlik (1) head down to Serce Limani (3), Visit Bozburun (5) and Kocabace(6) enroute to Datca(7)Nisiros(10), followed by Tilos(11), Halki(12) & Alimnia(13). Slowly returning via & Bozukale(4) and Ciftlik(1) back to Marmaris base.
Please Note: There were problems with the Greek authorities last year which may curtail visiting Greece. We await this year’s rules for visiting charter yachts. An alternative could be to the Gulf of Gokova visiting the famous English Harbour and Cleopatra’s beach enroute to Bodrum. Contact the office for more info.

The Flotilla Plus team
Flotilla Plus is run by a dedicated team, with all the experience you could wish for.
For most weeks Flotilla Plus is led by Perfect Sailing’s owners Kevin & Sara Cooke. Some weeks will be Kevin & Charlie or Kevin & Foxy.
Kevin & Sara Cooke
Arriving in 2006 as part of their ‘Let’s circumnavigate’ world tour, they fell in love with Turkey and stayed.
For several years Kevin taught RYA courses and Sara ran a charter base. Their years of experience are now available to you throughout your holiday.
Peter ‘Foxy’ Fox
Local charter skipper ‘Foxy’ has been sailing these waters for close to fifteen years. he’s drawn by the locals and the history of the area. he also has a thing for weather too. Ask him why we call him ‘Silver’ not ‘Foxy’ now.
Charlie Coupland
RYA Cruising instructor and ever popular charter skipper. Charlie’s experience extends well beyond Turkey. he often skippers clients in Croatia and the Caribbean.
Repeatedly requested by returning clients, with his sense of humour you’ll soon see why.
