English couple, Kevin & Sara Cooke. were travelling the globe in their yacht when late in 2006 they stopped in Turkey, and a love affair with the country began. Not surprisingly, Perfect Sailing (a UK company) began operations in Orhaniye, near Marmaris, Turkey in the winter of 2010. 

An unexpected opportunity presented itself to open a small, bespoke and boutique charter operation following the closure of a well respected british charter company.

From inception to opening was just four weeks.  Companies were formed both in the UK and Turkey, offices procured and yachts sought. Then the printing and preparation for London Boat Show 2011 were started. At the beginning of January there we were at London boat show hoping to take some bookings. We needn’t have worried. Many of Sara’s previous customers came up wondering why she was at London boat show and promptly booked their holidays. Thank you to all those people, it could have been so short-lived!

Moving on to 2018, we are now seasoned professionals with a good team around us, we now offer both charter management and private fleet management and maintenance, commonly called gardienage. Over the years it has got more challenging, the global recession biting and political uncertainty throughout Europe and beyond. But we are still here, still enjoying welcoming customers new and old to our new base in Marmaris.

It is our passion, delivering excellent sailing holidays to clients, and in all those years, we have had just one complaint, and that was the agents mistake! But it is about more than just us. Now, there is a strong and capable team behind both in house and external. The specialists we use, all work hard to deliver the best. It has been a privilege to work with so many of these people, all highly skilled in their own right, who equally want to deliver the best service. Good service is actually part of their culture.
