Marmaris has several of the largest marinas in the Eastern Mediterranean with all the latest facilities you would expect.
If you want to explore, it is well worth the climb up into the old town to the castle, which has a good exhibition of the earlier Ottoman times, as well as a great view over the bay.
If shopping is your aim, then the town bazaar has hundreds of shops offering great value leather, jewellery, carpets and lots more.
As for eating, you will find many restaurants on the waterfront and it’s well worth a wander even if it’s just to see the beautiful Octopus Sculpture, truly amazing.
Marmaris is a well known tourist hotspot. Hugely cosmopolitan and it never stops. If you’re looking for a very late night out, ideal.
Close to Old Marmaris town, but far enough away from most of the lively tourist areas, you will find Adaköy Marina. Base to most of the local charter fleets. It has a relaxed feel, surrounded by pine clad mountains of a national park. You really feel you are getting close to nature.
